About Dr. Mary
Dr. Mary Zhitnikova is a dual board-certified physician in Aesthetics and Internal Medicine, and the Founder and Medical Director of FaceThetics Medical Inc, located in Los Angeles, California.
Growing up in New York, Dr. Mary was inspired by her mother, a nurse, and her grandmother, a neurologist, who instilled in her values of compassion and community service from a young age. Her father, a software design manager, and her sibling, an actor, introduced her to leadership roles and creativity. As a young woman, she found a love for fashion, leading her to the Fashion Institute of Technology with the dream of starting an athleisure clothing line. However, her grandfather’s illness shifted her focus towards medicine.
She completed her Bachelor’s in Biology, minored in Chemistry, and then pursued medical school and residency specializing in adult medicine. Over the past decade, Dr. Mary has served as a devoted physician, delivering essential care to underserved communities in South LA, while also participating in international medical missions.
Today, Dr. Mary beautifully merges her love for beauty, medicine, and science, upholding her family’s values of hard work, resilience, and self-empowerment. She’s the founder of FaceThetics Medical, committed to boosting clients’ confidence with top-tier aesthetic procedures, and is also rekindling her dream to launch a stylish, SPF-protected athleisure line.
In her downtime, Dr. Mary embraces a healthy lifestyle, cherishing time with family, friends, and colleagues, while enjoying sushi and fitness activities. Her family is her driving force, inspiring her to create an impact through her medical and aesthetic expertise. Dr. Mary’s unique journey and dedication make her an exceptional figure in her field.
